Several religious communities of Kherson region joined the OCU.

The communities of religious organizations in the Kherson region have decided to join the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, leaving the UOC (MP). This was reported by the regional military administration.
One of such associations is the Church of John the Baptist of the Tavriya Diocese, located in the Dnipro region. The parishioners decided to transition to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
The decision was made at a parishioners' meeting. They decided to sever ties with the Moscow Patriarchate.
Similar decisions were made by five associations in Kreshchenivka, Osokorivka, Myrolyubivka, Vysokyi, and Antonivka.
Confirmation of the Cherkasy parishioners' decision to join the Holy Michael Cathedral with the Orthodox Church of Ukraine was the response from the city mayor Anatolii Bondarenko received on October 17. Although the parish of the Moscow Patriarchate was dissatisfied, the Cherkasy community responded with shouts 'Ukraine above all'. A prayer in Ukrainian was also held for the first Time at the Holy Michael Cathedral.
