Expert on communication explained why it is so difficult to counter Russian KABs.

The Ukrainian army currently lacks an effective means to combat guided aerial bombs (KABs) as their flight Time is very short. This was stated by specialist Serhii Beskrestnov.
According to him, the only way to counter KABs is through electronic warfare techniques, but there are also difficulties here. The flight time of a KAB is so short that affecting the navigation system that controls the bomb is quite challenging. However, Ukrainian manufacturers and developers are conducting experiments and achieving some successes in combating KABs.
At the same time, the Ukrainian army is successfully countering the aircraft that release KABs. With the help of special missile systems, the manufacturers are managing to demonstrate success in this matter. These missiles can target a fighter jet from a long distance and destroy it. However, Ukrainian defense forces are facing a shortage of such missiles with target acquisition heads.
The specialist also explained that the Russians have a clear strategy for dropping bombs: the fighter jet approaches a certain distance from the front line, drops the bomb, and flies away at maximum speed. All this is done very quickly so that the Ukrainian systems have no time to react. This strategy is timed down to the second, so that the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot respond. Beskrestnov also noted that Ukrainian military has changed their strategy and are now actively attacking KAB storage sites at airfields to make these warheads inaccessible.
It is worth recalling that on the morning of April 13, Sumy was shelled with ballistic missiles, resulting in destruction and casualties. The responsibility for this shelling lies with the Russian brigades. Also, on April 16, explosions were heard in the Ivanovo region of the Russian Federation, witnesses report a drone attack on a Russian military base. Such evening emergence of new data may indicate pressure from the Ukrainian army according to the specialist's words.
