Intensive combat actions on the front
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports intensive combat actions on the front line. As of 16:00 on September 5, 2024, 111 combat clashes with Russian invaders have been recorded.
Artillery and mortar shelling of border areas continue in the Sumy region. Bobylivka, Porozok, Stepok, and Pokrovka came under fire. Airstrikes using KABs were carried out on Sumy and another eight populated areas in the region.
In the Kharkiv direction, six combat clashes have occurred. The enemy stormed positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Vovchansk, where two clashes are ongoing. An airstrike on Kharkiv has been recorded.
The Kupiansk direction has become the arena for 10 battles. Russian forces attacked near five populated areas. Currently, six enemy attacks are ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, 13 combat clashes have been recorded. The enemy attempted to break through defenses in five populated areas. Three attacks are still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, four offensive actions by the occupiers took place. One battle is currently ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, eight combat clashes occurred. Three attacks are still ongoing. Enemy aviation dropped KABs on Chasiv Yar and Ivanopillia.
The Toretsk direction experienced eleven attacks, of which five are still ongoing.
The hottest was the Pokrovsk direction — 27 assault actions. The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 21 attacks; six battles are ongoing.
In the Kurakhove direction, there were 23 attacks, of which four are still unresolved.
The Vremivka direction experienced six assaults, two of which are ongoing.
In the Hulyaipole direction, the enemy used aviation with NARs against Bilohirya.
In the Orikhiv direction, a battle continues in the Robotyne area.
In the Prydniprovske direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks.
