Contract and grant at the same time: the Ministry of Education clarified who will be lucky this year.

Ukraine has been conducting the admission campaign with national multi-subject testing for the fourth consecutive year. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mykhailo Vynnytskyi announced significant changes in the rules for obtaining educational grants for bachelor's degree applicants.
According to the new rules, applicants who are recommended for budget places but choose to enroll on a contract basis will lose the opportunity to receive an educational grant. It is important to choose priorities wisely when submitting applications for admission, Vynnytskyi emphasized.
It is especially important not to refuse the budget place with the highest priority, as in this case, the applicant loses the right to receive a grant when enrolling under a contract, even with high NMPT scores.
According to the Deputy Minister, the state provides an opportunity to choose one of two places - budget or contractual with a grant. This year, the possibility of losing a grant if refusing a budget place will occur.
This new rule in the admission campaign was introduced due to the large number of applicants who refused budget places after being recommended for enrollment last year.
Record results of NMPT
We also remind about the record results of NMPT: an unexpected leader among subjects has been named.
The changes announced in the news regarding the rules for obtaining educational grants for bachelor's degree applicants are aimed at preventing the loss of the opportunity to receive a grant when enrolling under a contract. Now, applicants who decide to refuse a budget place after being recommended for it will not be able to receive a grant. This new rule is aimed at increasing applicants' responsibility and rational use of educational opportunities.
