According to the head of the Kupiansk Military Administration of the Kharkiv region, Andrii Besedin, the war is located 2.5 kilometers from Kupiansk.
He stated that 3700 residents remain in the city, and the children have been evacuated.
'Currently, there are 3700 civilian residents in the community. There are no children in the community territory. They are in safe places and are engaged in education and leisure activities,' said Besedin.
The head of the Kupiansk Military Administration emphasized that the enemy is constantly shelling the territory of the Kupiansk community with all available weapons.
'Since the beginning of October, Russian terrorist troops have struck the central part of the city six times with guided aerial bombs weighing 1.5 tons, which have great destructive power and take the lives of our peaceful people,' said Besedin.
However, the situation in the right bank of the community remains more stable.
'A critical situation has arisen on the left bank, where almost all critical infrastructure has been destroyed due to shelling by the enemy. Neither structural units, nor utility companies, nor hospitals, nor shops, nor pharmacies can operate. Evacuation is the only way to save lives,' emphasized Besedin.
