Pension Supplements in 2025: Who among Ukrainians Can Receive an Additional 1000 Hryvnias.

Ukrainian pensioners have been informed about who among them can receive an additional 1000 hryvnias to their pension payments.
Many Ukrainian pensioners receive very small pensions, which are insufficient to meet their basic needs. Therefore, additional payments based on age or work experience are very important for them.
When a pensioner turns 65 years old, he automatically receives a supplement to his pension, and he does not need to contact the Pension Fund.
A little-known fact: single pensioners aged 80 and older are entitled to a special care allowance of about 1000 hryvnias. However, this payment does not occur automatically - to receive it, one must independently contact the Pension Fund and submit the necessary documents.
This supplement is specifically designed for pensioners aged 80 and older who require constant care.
To qualify for this additional payment, a pensioner must meet the following criteria:
- require constant outside care due to health condition;
- live alone;
- be older than 80 years;
- receive an age pension.
It is important to note that not all pensioners aged 80 and older can receive this supplement. In particular, this additional payment is not provided:
- to citizens who are already receiving a disability pension
- to individuals who do not have a medical commission's conclusion confirming the need for constant care
Regarding the payment amount, it is 40% of the minimum subsistence level for persons who have lost their ability to work. In monetary terms, this is currently 944 hryvnias.
To receive the money, one must submit an application to the nearest Pension Fund office with the following documents:
- the pensioner's passport;
- identification number;
- conclusion of the medical and consulting commission regarding the need for care;
- an extract from the Pension Fund confirming that the pensioner does not receive any care allowances related to the pension.
Previously, the Pension Fund of Ukraine made an important clarification regarding funds for the rehabilitation of children.
