New Agreement with the EU: What Has Changed for Ukrainian Farmers.

The European Commission announced the successful completion of negotiations on a free trade area between the EU and Ukraine. European Commissioners expressed optimistic comments regarding the agreement, which may bring certain improvements for Ukrainian producers, especially in the agricultural sector.
The parties reached a principled agreement on reviewing provisions related to trade liberalization within the Association Agreement. This step marks a new phase in creating long-term, predictable, and reciprocal frameworks - said Shevchovich.
Special attention is focused on the import of agricultural products, which is an important aspect for Ukrainian farmers and producers. Trade liberalization in this sector could be a key step for the development of Ukrainian exports and increasing its presence in the European market.
The free trade agreement between the EU and Ukraine will allow Ukrainian producers to gain new opportunities for development and deepen cooperation with European Union countries, which may subsequently lead to positive changes in the social and economic development of the country.
