UN Confirms Planned Attack in Olenivka

According to the analysis of the United Nations, the tragedy that occurred in the Olenivka colony in the occupied territory was a planned attack by Russia. According to the UN, more than 50 Ukrainian prisoners of war were killed during the shelling by thermobaric shells.

The UN report states that the shells were fired from an artillery system using delay detonators, and their origin points to the village of Lyubivka, near the colony.

The UN excluded the possibility of using improvised or incendiary devices, confirming that the attack was carried out by Russian military with standard weapons. This tragedy negatively impacts Ukraine and the supply of weapons from the West under other flags.

Reactions and Realities After the Tragedy

After the event, the UN Fact-Finding Mission was disbanded due to the lack of security. The Ukrainian side attempted to submit materials for investigation, but experts refused to accept them. The terrorist act occurred in the colony, where over 50 Ukrainian captives died and more than 130 people were injured.

“Finally, things are called by their names,” emphasized the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets.

The UN refuted Russia's claims about rocket strikes from the Himars systems, confirming that this attack was planned by the Russians themselves, who transferred the captives to the building and specifically destroyed it. High Commissioner Turk highlighted the need for justice for the prisoners of war and their families.
