Pentagon Announces List of Weapons in New Package for Ukraine.


The U.S. Department of Defense reported that the new military aid package for Ukraine will include NASAMS systems, air defense missiles, artillery ammunition, and anti-tank weapons.
The Pentagon noted that the estimated cost of the defense package will be 425 million dollars and will provide Ukraine with additional capabilities to meet the most urgent needs.
The package will include additional ammunition for the NASAMS air defense systems, RIM-7 and Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, HIMARS missiles, and air-to-ground munitions.
Additionally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive 155 mm and 105 mm caliber shells, TOW, Javelin, and AT-4 anti-tank missiles, small arms and ammunition. Ukraine will also receive armored personnel carriers HMMWV, explosive equipment, spare parts, vehicles, and auxiliary equipment.
"The United States will continue to work together with approximately 50 members of the Alliance and partners through the Ukraine Defense Contact Group and related Capability Coalitions to meet the urgently needed needs of Ukraine on the battlefield," the Pentagon emphasized.
