Clock changes will be canceled: an important initiative regarding summer and winter time has emerged.


Poland plans to abolish the clock change system
Poland intends to completely abolish the clock change system to avoid the annual clock changes. This initiative is to be proposed by Polish state representatives during their presidency in the Council of the European Union. The aim of this decision is to unite EU countries around the idea of establishing a single fixed Time. However, achieving consensus with other EU countries will require analysis and consideration of the geographical, economic, and social characteristics of these countries.
Currently, as in Ukraine, the clock change to summer time in Poland occurs on the last Sunday of March. However, the bill to abandon the clock change, which was passed by the Ukrainian parliament last year, has still not been signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. Therefore, if nothing changes, Ukrainians will again switch to summer time this year.
