Registries are not working: Ukrainians explained which notarial actions can be performed.

The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine explained to citizens which notarial actions can be performed while the registries are not working.
This was pointed out by representatives of the Ministry of Justice, as reported by 'Hvylya'. Recall that on December 19, a large-scale cyberattack occurred on the state registries of Ukraine. As a result, the work of the main registries of the ministry was halted. The restoration of the property registry will take two weeks.
It should be noted that notaries continue to provide services that do not require verification of data in the Ministry of Justice's registries during the recovery process of the registries.
In particular, the following notarial actions are currently available:
- drawing up wills, inheritance agreements, and power of attorney;
- issuing copies of notarial documents stored in the notary's files;
- certifying the authenticity of copies (photocopies) of documents and their extracts;
- certifying the authenticity of signatures on documents, including consent for the child to travel abroad without one of the parents;
- checking the accuracy of the translation of documents from one language to another.
Additionally, the notary can conclude an inheritance case at the request of the heir.
After the registries are restored, notaries will add the necessary information to the corresponding registries, the Ministry of Justice reported.
Moreover, official data refuted the possibility of illegal seizure of property due to limited access to the registry.
It is worth noting that according to official data, the cyberattack was carried out by Russian hackers with the aim of disrupting the functioning of Ukraine's critically important infrastructure.
It should be recalled that an expert spoke about the consequences of the large-scale cyberattack on state registries for Ukraine.
