Ukrainian activist in Portugal, Pavlo Sadokha, demands correction of information in school textbooks. He appealed to the General Inspectorate of Education and Science of Portugal regarding the review of geography textbooks for the 7th grade. The textbooks erroneously marked the territory of Crimea as belonging to Russia, and the history of Ukraine was distorted, according to a report by the publication 'Gorod'.Pavlo Sadokha emphasized that such information in textbooks distorts historical facts and uses the Russian historical narrative to justify aggression against Ukraine. He also highlighted the severe consequences of Russian aggression for children who have been deported and have to study history that denies the existence of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.The Ukrainian activist calls for a revision of information in textbooks to match historical facts and international recognition, and expresses readiness to promote cooperation between the scientific communities of Ukraine and Portugal.
