Electricity consumption is rapidly increasing due to the cold.

Today, April 7, at 09:30 the level of electricity consumption was 16% higher than on Friday, April 4. This was reported by 'Glavcom' referring to 'Ukrenergo'.

It is noted that cloudy weather across Ukraine has led to low efficiency of solar power plants.

Additionally, due to precipitation and gusty winds, 10 settlements in one of the western regions were left without power in the morning. Emergency restoration work is ongoing, and the energy workers are working to restore electricity supply to all consumers as quickly as possible.

Today, from 8:00 to 21:00, there remains a need for economical electricity consumption. Please, if possible - limit the use of high-power electrical appliances during this Time and do not turn on two powerful devices simultaneously.

Let us remind you that winter has returned to Ukraine in April. In some regions, particularly in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Lviv, and Khmelnytskyi, a significant amount of snow has fallen.

It was previously reported that on Monday, April 7, forecasters predict cloudy weather in Ukraine.

In the east and southeast of the country, light rain is expected, with moderate rain in some areas during the day. The nighttime temperature will be 3-8°C (in the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions, there may be frosts on the ground and in the air from 0 to 3°C), during the day 6-11°C. In the rest of Ukraine, there will be light snow, except for certain areas of Odesa, Mykolaiv, and western regions where there will be no precipitation. During the day, the temperature will be 1-4°C.

Ukraine is expecting a deterioration in weather conditions. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, frosts in the air and on the surface, as well as icy conditions on the roads, are expected in the coming days.
