Le Monde revealed details of the destruction of a gigantic Russian ammunition depot by Ukraine.

Details have emerged about how Ukraine destroyed a large Russian ammunition depot using new shells.
This is reported by the publication Le Monde.
On the night of September 18, Ukrainian drones launched an airstrike on the 107th Arsenal of the Main Directorate of Russia in the city of Toropets, Tver region.
Analysts of the publication note that the Ukrainian army used unprecedented resources, which had a significant impact on the scale of the destruction. According to military sources, more than 100 drones participated in the operation.
In the video recordings, there is a characteristic whistling of jet engines, which indicates the possible use of cruise missiles during the attack. It is worth noting that previously attacks on Russian territory were carried out with propeller drones, which were slower and more easily shot down by air defense systems (ADS).
Occasionally, pro-Kremlin Telegram channels claim that the Ukrainian shells could have been new "Palyanitsa" missiles. In early August, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced the successful testing of these missiles.
Considering another point of view, the Ukrainian site Defense Express believes that the used shells could have been a modernized version of the Ukrainian "Neptune" missile with a larger explosive charge.
The Russian Ministry of Defense continues to repeat the claim that all Ukrainian drones were shot down, and the incident occurred due to the "falling of debris". It should be noted that the ministry does not mention Tver region in the list of regions where the defeat of the drones was caused by ADS. Thus, Russian media mainly avoided mentioning this disaster.
It is necessary to remember that strikes on ammunition depots in Russia can significantly influence the course of hostilities.
