In Russia, they want to see football player Dzyuba, who became famous for an embarrassing video, in politics.

Russian skier and Olympic athlete Alexander Legkov expressed his opinion on the possibility of a political career for footballer Artem Dzyuba. He believes that Dzyuba can try his hand at politics, as he possesses the necessary criteria for it. Legkov wishes Artem success and believes he should try himself in this field. He notes that Dzyuba is good at communicating and has numerous fans. However, it is important to approach the matter correctly and continue working towards achieving one's goals.
In 2020, a video was released in which Artem Dzyuba was caught masturbating in front of the camera at home. This caused such a huge resonance in Russia that even events in Nagorno-Karabakh were overshadowed. Artem became a topic of discussion in one of the programs of propagandist Olga Skabeyeva. She noted that Dzyuba held his hand correctly. However, this did not save him from being excluded from the Russian national team and losing the captain's armband in the club 'Zenit'.
Also, just after the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Artem Dzyuba stated that he fully supports Russian President Vladimir Putin.
It is worth recalling that during a phone conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, the possible holding of a series of hockey matches between players from the USA and Russia was discussed. After this conversation, Moscow reported that Trump supports Putin's idea of holding competitions between NHL and KHL players. However, the NHL was not involved in these negotiations and did not participate in the discussion of the war in Ukraine. Later, it became known that the NHL did not mention hockey matches in the White House report about this conversation.
The NHL condemns Russia's invasion of Ukraine and calls for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. They have suspended relations with business partners in Russia and no longer consider Russia as a venue for NHL events in the future. Furthermore, they express concern for the welfare of Russian players who compete in the NHL and call for their support in the difficult situation they find themselves in.
