The construction of the first "smart" road in the USA has begun: what are its features.

American startup Cavnue has begun construction of the first "smart road" in the USA. A section of Interstate 94 in Michigan will be equipped with a tracking system that will inform drivers about potential problems on the road, such as obstacles, accidents, and traffic jams.
The pilot program project is located between Ann Arbor and Detroit. It is planned to expand the "smart road" to 64 kilometers in six phases, connecting both cities. The system operates using poles with sensor and computing modules.
Cameras located along the road analyze the condition of the roadway and send notifications to the Michigan Department of Transportation and connected drivers. The goal of the project is to reduce traffic jams, avoid accidents, and improve traffic management efficiency.
The U.S. Department of Defense partnership with Northrop Grumman is working on the concept of a railway network on the Moon. The company is proposing prototypes of a lunar railway system for transporting people and resources, which would contribute to the development of the USA's and their partners' space economy.
Additionally, Axiom Space has published a video on YouTube about the production of the main structures of the first module of the future Axiom space station. The launch of the first module to the International Space Station is planned for 2026.
