The Ukrainian Navy assessed whether the storm season would affect the occupiers' logistics in the Black Sea.

With the onset of the storm season, the logistics problems of the Russian occupiers in the Black Sea are only worsening. This will directly affect the activity of their fleet. In addition, in case of severe storms, even ferries may cease to operate.
This statement was made by the spokesman of the Ukrainian Navy, Captain 3rd Rank Dmytro Pletenchuk, during an interview for the FREEДОМ TV channel.
"The storm season indeed significantly affects logistics and fleet activity in the Black Sea. For example, the base where the Russians are currently located in Novorossiysk is heavily dependent on weather conditions. Navigation will become not simple but complicated. This is due to the southern wind, which complicates the departure from the base," Pletenchuk noted.
Regarding the Kerch Strait, according to Pletenchuk, the storm season always affects shipping there as well.
"Thus, even now, when they already have logistics problems, the Russians may face even more difficulties. During severe storms, ferry traffic may be suspended," the spokesman noted.
However, in Pletenchuk's opinion, the Kerch Bridge still operates.
"It is worth noting that the occupiers have not yet loaded the bridge as they should. This can be noticed, in particular, by the movement of ferries. Therefore, I can confirm that the storm season will significantly affect the occupiers' logistics," the Ukrainian Navy spokesman concluded.
