Ukraine has taken a niche in the development of FPV drones - expert.

Ukraine has become a leader in the development and use of unmanned systems, even surpassing NATO countries. Western countries are interested in high technologies and complex systems, but Ukraine has focused on the modernization and use of simple racing drones.
An aviation expert, Deputy General Director of a company producing electronic warfare means Anatoliy Khrapchynskyi, said this on the FREEДОМ TV channel.
"If we talk about an FPV drone, it is a regular racing drone. The FPV drones that started the military actions had a simplified system, a simple flight controller, a regular camera, and engines, small mechanisms that allowed flying at a distance of up to 3-5 km. Now we are talking about FVD drones, which can fly at a distance of up to 50 kilometers thanks to certain improved communication means. Previously, they just used a regular camera; now they use thermal imaging cameras and software that guarantees target acquisition and destruction without the involvement, let's say, even of the operator. And accordingly, the technologies have become more expensive, but it is still much cheaper than what the West offers us," he emphasized.
Khrapchynskyi noted that Ukrainians are motivated to win, and the main criterion is price. Many engineers are investing their knowledge to achieve victory.
"Everything that is being developed now has become possible thanks to investments in knowledge and the purchase of components. This is a very important point that explains why private business was able to organize large production and quickly increase the number of unmanned systems produced," he noted.
