Accident in Odesa region: one woman died, six others injured
A road traffic accident occurred in the Odesa region involving an ambulance and a passenger car. As a result of the accident, one woman died and six others were injured, the police of Odesa region reported.
The incident took place in the city of Izmail at the intersection of Bolhradskaya and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskaya streets. According to preliminary information, the driver of the passenger car did not take into account the traffic situation and failed to yield to the moving ambulance, which had its emergency lights and siren on, leading to a collision.
“As a result of the accident, injuries were sustained by the driver and passenger of the car, as well as the driver and four passengers of the ambulance. All the injured were taken to a medical facility, where one elderly woman died. Law enforcement is conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the accident,” the police report said.
An investigation is underway at the scene to establish the circumstances of the accident.
Recently, a tragedy also occurred in the Kirovohrad region when a 14-year-old driver died. These tragic incidents serve as a reminder of the importance of adhering to traffic rules and exercising caution while driving.
