A woman was detained in Odesa for bribing to help pass driving license exams.


A corrupt scheme for passing driving tests uncovered in Odesa
The investigation reported that a corrupt scheme for passing driving tests for obtaining a driver's license was uncovered in Odesa. According to the investigation, the intermediary in this scheme was a woman who was detained while handing over a bribe. This was reported by the Odesa regional prosecutor's office.
According to the investigation, the suspect, using her connections, received money with which she facilitated driving tests at the regional service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The woman acted as an intermediary, finding individuals willing to pay for this service. She took the money and handed it over to officials. This service cost clients $750.
The detained woman was charged under Article 27, Part 5 and Article 368, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For these crimes, she faces 5 to 10 years of imprisonment, as well as confiscation of property and a ban on holding certain positions.
The suspect was placed in custody with the possibility of bail. The investigation continues, and efforts are being made to identify people who used the woman's services, as well as those involved in this corrupt scheme.
