Prices for one of the borscht vegetables have skyrocketed in Ukraine.

Price increase for potatoes in Ukraine due to reduced supply
Analysts from the EastFruit project reported that potato prices in Ukraine have risen again after a period of stability.
The main reason for the price increase is the reduced supply of potatoes in Ukrainian farms. Many producers have already sold their stocks and are not storing potatoes.
This has led to an average price increase of 12% compared to last week. Wholesale companies complain about a lack of quality potatoes on the market.
Farmers link the problem to unfavorable weather conditions during the harvest and the use of low-quality planting material in 2024.
Potato prices in Ukraine are currently 16% higher than at the end of January last year. A possible lack of quality potatoes in the market will contribute to the further rise in prices for this product.
Earlier, it was shown how prices for cucumbers and tomatoes changed after the New Year holidays.
