War Cannot Be Concluded: Erdogan On Zelensky's Meeting With Putin And Trump's Role.

Possibility of Meeting Between Zelensky and Putin in Istanbul
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan considers the possibility of a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Putin in Istanbul a historic opportunity. He stated that Turkey will not place any obstacles to such a summit, but emphasized that the main players in these negotiations are Zelensky and Putin. Erdogan compared their role to Trump's in similar circumstances.
The Turkish leader also noted that the meeting of delegations from Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul is extremely important for ending the war and restoring peace in the region. He claims that Turkey, together with other countries, is ready to assist in conducting peace negotiations, stressing that the war can only be ended through diplomacy, not weapons.
'Our main goal is to achieve a final result in peace negotiations. Therefore, we decided to continue our mediatory role to end the war. We will put in all our efforts to maintain the dialogue, and negotiations between the parties continue,' Erdogan emphasized.
At the same Time, Donald Trump expressed threats of imposing sanctions against Russia and expressed his views on Zelensky and Putin.
Should Zelensky and Putin meet in Istanbul, important issues regarding the cessation of the war in eastern Ukraine and the establishment of peace may be resolved. Such a summit could open new opportunities for diplomatic agreements and political accords between all parties in the conflict. Active mediation efforts by Turkey and diplomatic pressure could facilitate conflict resolution and the restoration of peace in the region.
