According to the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Odesa region, the boy approached the institution to verify the license he bought through a 'Nova Poshta' branch. The fake document had three open categories (A, B, and C) for 30 years, which should have raised suspicions for the owners.

'To verify the license, I used the QR code on the plastic and saw information about 'remote issuance'. There was a note — a verification is required. And with a clean heart, I went to the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. I couldn't even imagine that I bought problems for my money,' — said the victim Valerii.

Employees of the service center immediately confirmed that the license was forged and informed the police about this case. So far, requests for obtaining fake documents have been suspended, and they have been handed over to law enforcement for further investigation.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds that a driver's license can only be obtained in person at the service center after successfully passing exams. Any offers for 'remote' obtaining of driver’s licenses are illegal and subject to criminal prosecution for forgery of documents.

Citizens are advised to check the presence of a driver's license in the 'Diia' mobile application. If the document is not available in electronic format, it may indicate forgery.
