International negotiations
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy agreed to hold negotiations with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Turkey on May 15. Zelenskyy also plans to meet with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
I believe that good things may come out of this meeting
U.S. President Donald Trump is also considering the possibility of coming to the meeting in Istanbul, deeming it very important. He sees a chance to achieve results and proposes a 30-day ceasefire supported by Ukraine and Western leaders.
Russia continues to prepare for the negotiations set to take place in Istanbul on May 15. However, the Kremlin is currently refraining from comments on this matter. The Russian Federation rejected the proposal for a ceasefire starting May 12 and continues to shell Ukrainian positions along the front line.
Ukrainian defense forces are fighting against enemy attacks and defending the territorial integrity of the country. Negotiations and high-level meetings could become an important step in resolving the conflict.
