Zelensky appointed Kravchenko as the Attorney General of Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, signed decree №416/2025 on the appointment of Ruslan Kravchenko as the Attorney General of Ukraine. This event marked the culmination of long months of waiting after the dismissal of the former head of the Prosecutor General's Office, Andriy Koстin, in October 2024. This was reported by 'Glavkom' with reference to the president's decree.

Earlier, on June 17, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the President's submission, adopting the corresponding decision with 273 votes from the people's deputies.

The path from investigator to Attorney General

Ruslan Kravchenko was born on March 14, 1990, in Severodonetsk, Luhansk region. His career in the prosecutor's office began immediately after he graduated from university. Before assuming the position of Attorney General, he successfully held various positions, including in the area of

Anti-Terrorist Operation.

• 2012-2014: Investigator, then senior investigator of the Sevastopol Prosecutor's Office.
• After the annexation of Crimea: Worked in the prosecutor's offices of Rivne and Lviv regions.
• 2014-2015: Participated in ATO as a prosecutor of the 33rd military prosecutor's office of the Southern region.
• 2015-2019: Worked at the Main Military Prosecutor's Office of the Prosecutor General's Office.

From Kyiv OVA to the tax service

In April 2023, Kravchenko was appointed head of the Kyiv regional military administration, and at the end of 2024, he headed the State Tax Service. His work career in this position turned out to be very successful until he received a new appointment as the Attorney General.

Ruslan Kravchenko is married to Olena Shkrobanets, who was formerly the head of a department in the Office of the Attorney General.
