Debts to green investors hold back active construction of new energy facilities – investors.

Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association Andriy Konechenkov stated that Ukraine cannot realize its potential in the construction of renewable energy due to debt problems and regulatory obstacles. He indicates that the state owes producers of green electricity approximately 17 billion UAH, which needs to be repaid. This situation has led to producers from renewable energy sources receiving payment for electricity with significant delays. Konechenkov also noted that there are regulatory obstacles in the market that make wide-scale development of renewable energy impossible.
The state needs to negotiate with investors and ensure the repayment of debts for the produced electricity so that these funds can be invested in the construction of renewable energy capacities and energy storage systems.
