China Has Made Rice Significantly Tastier.

In the last 16 years, the taste and texture of rice in China have improved. The Chinese National Rice Research Institute conducted tests showing that the quality of Asian rice grown in China has significantly improved compared to 2009.
The taste evaluation of rice is based on a national standard updated in 2008, which considers appearance, aroma, taste, and texture of cold rice. This standard is used to obtain an overall quality rating of the product.
The conclusion of Chinese researchers shows that increasing yield to ensure food security does not always affect the quality of the product. Genetic improvements and control over cultivation conditions are factors that influence the quality of rice.
China is the world's largest producer of rice, accounting for 28% of global production last year.
Additionally, a Chinese firm faced criticism for a dangerous task during a team-building training. Employees had to swallow fire as part of the team-building exercise.
