The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved the use of new devices and adaptations in the Armed Forces to improve the effectiveness of firearms and grenade launchers. This information was disclosed by the Ministry of Defense.
The tripod mortar, developed by Ukrainian engineers, allows grenade launchers to use weapons at high trajectories from concealed positions. The military department noted that the device has a sturdy construction and drive screws that ensure stability and smooth adjustment of vertical and horizontal aiming angles.
The list of new devices includes a tripod mortar for the Mk 19 grenade launcher, a small infantry tripod for the Browning M2 machine gun, a universal mount, and a stand for vehicles.
The small infantry tripod is a domestic equivalent of a tripod for foreign-produced heavy machine guns. In addition, it can be used with a wide range of machine guns and grenade launchers with the help of additional adapters.
The universal mount simplifies the installation of weapons on various military equipment. It allows reducing recoil when shooting with a heavy machine gun.
The universal stand is suitable for machine guns mounted on pickup trucks. The design provides a comfortable position for the gunner and the ability to rotate along two axes.
Remember, earlier the Ministry of Defense signed a contract for the purchase of Witch drones worth over 40 billion UAH, capable of catching up with any Russian wheeled vehicles.
Now Ukraine is waiting for the second batch of AI-powered strike drones from the European company Helsing, which amounts to 6,000 units.
