In memory of Mykyta Fomin
Every day at 9 a.m. Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Mykyta Fomin.
On April 19, 2025, in the area of the settlement of Stanislav in the Kherson region, 22-year-old sailor, radio-electronic intelligence operator of the reconnaissance platoon of the 40th marine brigade of the coastal defense Mykyta Andriovych Fomin died from wounds sustained during combat operations. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the Obukhiv City Council.
Mykyta was born on July 10, 2002, in the city of Pervomaisk in the Russian Federation, and shortly after his birth, his family moved to Ukraine. Mykyta's childhood and school years were spent in the village of Rahiivka in the Vyshhorod district of Kyiv region. After school, he enrolled in the Professional Lyceum in the city of Ukrainka, where he obtained an education in the specialty 'mechanic for the repair of wheeled vehicles, electric welder on automatic and semi-automatic machines of the second grade'.
In 2020, after completing his studies, he began working at the Kotiv forestry: he was a responsible and hardworking specialist with many dreams for the future.
Mykyta was sent to Kharkiv, where he bravely held the defense and signed a contract for further service in Donetsk region.
For successfully completing combat missions, Mykyta was repeatedly acknowledged with thank-you notes and rewards, but he always approached his service very responsibly. His dream of becoming a true professional military personnel, unfortunately, did not come true. He is survived by his mother, father, wife, and family, who were extremely important to him.
Mykyta was distinguished by his courage and care for his loved ones, enjoyed boxing, and was always ready to help those around him. His death in the war has been a great loss for the state and his relatives.
On April 26, Obukhiv said goodbye to Mykyta Fomin, honoring his memory and dedication to Ukraine.
